Your response to my humble, genuine, and honest apology was inappropriate, disgusting, and disgraceful.

Im giving you until 17:00, Friday, 5th November 2021 to telephonically and in the WhatsApp message to apologise.

If the above times expires without any apology, then I will proceed with the following:

1) Report you for abusive language to Gumtree.

2) Report you for abusive language to Hellopeter.

As you know, I do have the record in WhatsApp of what has transpired. I do not take your response lightly.

The ball is in your court.

Just do the right thing, otherwise, your future use of the Gumtree platform may be unnecessarily tarnished.

He then responded with a Gumtree message:

" U wasted my time I had a potential buyer and u asked me to keep it for u then u canceled now u want to threaten me why "

I then responded:

" My dear friend

It is not a threat. It's a graceful way out.

You must have come across a situation like this numerous times in your 30 years.

That's life, it happens!

There was no need to use such abusive and foul language and profanity. You don't even know me to steep to that level.

The ball is in your court until 17:00.

This is quite a long period to do the right thing.

He then immediately gave me a telephonic call: " 1) He said that he was not in a good space the previous day 2) No apology 3) I said that the reason I canceled was that I have 4 other people trying to pool our monies, to get a poor guy that had all his technical goodies ******, upon his feet again, but that is one of our main contributors, pulled out. 4) His immediate response was he would sponsor a printer for free and that I could collect it on Monday. Also, that he will send me his address for collection. 5) Of course, I was over the moon of this gesture and thanked him "

I was obviously blown away! I immediately wrote him the following SMS:

" Wow Richard

It's everything that I'm looking for. It's absolutely perfect!

1) The guy is 50 years old, married with 5 daughters. 2) He is a fundi software technician, however, living in Sherwood Park, Mannenberg, all his machinery & tools were ******. 3) He is currently selling Fruit & Veg from his house, a waste of some serious talent. 4) He sees a market gap in the area for "Printing Services", i.e. Print, Fax, Copy, Scan, Fax, etc.

I try to gather from 5 people including myself, to sponsor R500, each, but one person disappointed me about 15 minutes before I text you to give you the bad news.

You were sent! God works in very mysterious ways! May God Bless You!

Then after several calls to ensure that the printer is actually going to be sponsored, he never answered. Not even my many SMS and Gumtree texts.

On one occasion he did answer and affirmed the sponsorship and that he was going to send his address in 1hour time. Still no response. I texted and called numerous times. No communication. This is one example:

" You have given me, my close family, and a group of people false hope.

Since your suggestion of sponsoring a free printer:

1) I've been assembling a group of people to surprise the recipient

2) I've been trying to collect monies to get A4 paper

3) I've called you numerous times

4) I've sent you numerous SMS texts.

If you could just have the decency to respond whether the sponsorship is on or off. Then at least we know we stand.

Just for one moment, put yourself in my shoes. After being sworn at, you get a call, not really an apology, for which Ive requested, but rather a reason for stating the state of mind.

Then you get offered a free printer, however, since then, the sponsor goes silent on you.

Please just do the right thing.

Please brother. We are South Africans and we have a long history of Ubuntu!

On 2021/11/9, I finally texted the following:

" Hi Richard

OK, you give me no choice due to your lack of communication.

I'm giving you until 14:00 today, Tuesday, 9th November to respond to my numerous SMS texts, else I will proceed to describe your complete behavior with Helopeter and Gumtree.

I just want to remind you that the above is not about a sponsored printer, but a lack of communication and a total disregard and disrespect for protocols of co-operation.

Still no response. Then at about 17:30, I called him from my wife's phone.

He was disgustingly and disgracefully rude, using profanity galore. He threatened me. Then ended the call. My wife witnessed this because I placed the phone on speaker
