Multiple Incorrect Charges at Ribs & Burgers The Marc

Complaint: On 02 April 2026, we dined at Ribs & Burgers The Marc in Sandton. Our bill was R853, and we added a R100 tip for our server, Gugu, bringing the total to R953.

To our shock, the payment was processed four times, totaling R3,812 instead of R953. Nedbank confirmed that all four transactions went through to the Ribs & Burgers merchant.

We returned the next morning at 8:00 AM as instructed.

Gugu took photos of the transactions to send to finance.

Manager Lebogang Sekgole showed us a slip reflecting only one transaction on their side and asked for bank statements. We contacted the Nedbank ***** line, and the consultant confirmed the funds were with Ribs & Burgers and explained this directly to Mr. Sekgole, even providing a number for reversal.

Despite this, Mr. Sekgole later said he could not reach the finance team.

Manager Sibusiso dismissed our concerns, imp**** we might be *****sters, and even called security guards instead of assisting us.

As of now, we are still out of pocket by R2,859. This was our last money, and the lack of professionalism and urgency has been extremely distressing.

We demand immediate resolution and refund of the outstanding amount. After this experience, we will never return to Ribs & Burgers The Marc.
