Shocking Mother's Day Lunch
<p>My husband had booked a surprise Mother's Day celebration. He was required to pay upfront for the buffet - R395 per adult and R85 (children under 6 years). R1000 for our family of 4. </p> <p> </p> <p>The buffet was a huge disappointment to say the least! The meat was overlooked, tough and dry. The roast potatoes were under cooked. The selection of food was very average, despite the expectation of it being upmarket. </p> <p>The buffet options did not cater for young children at all.</p> <p> </p> <p>Service was poor. We were told the tea and coffee was self service - not really what we had expected. We had asked for a glass of wine at which they said we could only order by the bottle. Plates were not cleared from our table and were attracting flies.</p> <p> </p> <p>We were not made aware that we would be seated in a marquee, which was hot and the music too load. We had hoped to enjoy the views from the lawns.</p> <p> </p> <p>We left after less than an hour. Spoilt Mother's Day for our family and was probably the worst food experience I have ever had for what we paid. </p> <p> </p> <p>Will definitely not go back! </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
