Quality Care in Your Home

At the beginning of 2021 my elderly mother was living on her own in a large house in Simonstown. Becoming increasingly frail, she realized that she was no longer able to cope on her own, and responded to a Rezcare advert in the local paper. They sent representatives to introduce themselves and explain their services to her. They offer an extensive range of services ranging from companionship, reading, grooming, bathing and healthcare, grocery shopping and household c****s, to full time home-based care. They also have contractors on hand to do household repairs and maintenance, if required.

They are able to offer 24-hour care, either with rotating shift-workers, or a live-in companion / carer if required. They also have a qualified nursing sister on hand who can be contacted for advice and will also do home visits. As a team, I found them to be very hands-on and dedicated.

At first my mother only required day care and was looked after by a wonderful, energetic lady who, apart from companionship, is able to perform a variety of tasks such as feeding the client, administering meds, helping with physical exercise and movement as well as household c****s and cleaning. Later in October 2021, following a back operation my mother was bedridden and as such required full time care. The night carers that Rezcare sent were wonderful too - very professional and efficient and on-call throughout the night. This remarkable team was there for my mother, right up until the end, when her condition deteriorated and she sadly passed away in November.

We as a family could not have coped without Rezcare during the last year of my mother's life. I'm very grateful and glad that my mom "found" Rezcare when she did - she always was a wise soul.
