Rezaan's Refurbishments - Issues with Repairs

I went to Rezaan's on the recommendation of a friend in October 2024 to sort out some problems I was having with a pre-owned vehicle I had purchased, namely valve stem seals and a timing chain that needed to be replaced.

Initially my experience with Rezaan's was quite positive, with him helping me out in getting the best prices to have my car repaired when it was financially difficult for me to do so.

However when I eventually got my vehicle back 3 weeks later there was a issue with my vehicle where I was experiencing a bumping sensation during heavy acceleration. I took it back to Rezaan multiple times with this issue, where they tried multiple things but nothing fixed the issue and I was being told that it was most likely my gearbox that was the issue, even though my gearbox was perfectly fine before taking my car in.

Fast forward to today, roughly 5 months down the line, the issue was still persistent up until last week Friday (28/02/2025), I had decided to go to another mechanic to have the issue assessed as I was still sitting with this issue even after going to Rezaan multiple times and just wanted to get my car fixed. What I was shocked to discover was my mechanic telling me that the spark plugs that were in my car were completely wrong ... 2 spark plugs that are meant for my brand of vehicle, but different from each other and old, while the other 2 spark plugs were apparently from a Ford. My mechanic changed these out and the issue I have been sitting with for the last 5 months is now disappeared.

I took this complaint to Rezaan about the old plugs being put into my car instead of the brand new set of plugs that he charged me for and I was given the following reply:

"Hi Jason, I’m very well thanks. Hope you well too.

If I quoted you for new spark plugs and you payed for it then it was installed.

Now after 5months you decide to take it to another mechanic which automatically voids any sort of warranty etc you telling me that we put old plugs in your car, really now 😳. How do I even know if that is really the plugs that came out the car?

I did you a favour in fixing part of your engine due to you having financial difficulties.

Anyways… there is unfortunately absolutely nothing i can do now to assist you. 🤷🏽♂"

I can appreciate going to another mechanic might void warranties on some work, but finding the completely wrong part installed in my car when I paid for brand new ones and then being gaslit about him doing me a favour at the time doesn't sit right with me. I took my car to him multiple times after I noticed the issue and it was never resolved, I took my car to another mechanic for 1 day and the issue was solved immediately. Says a lot.
