Revuen Senior Centre
My name is Palesa Monareng. 30 years old and today i took my daughter to visit her great granny at Revuen Senior Centre for the first time and i must say i dont know how the government can continue collecting rent from our beloved retired pensioners given the condition of that place. Walls are delapidating, grass not cut, security drinking on the job. Our senior citizen's lives are at risk daily due to poor living conditions. The unit i visited was internally well looked after, however overlooking the view of a wall with no security fencing, this makes the residents vulnerable to numerous crimes which often go unteported or documented. Menial badic things like both kitchen taps leaking profusely even after being reporyed to maintenance, lights outside the hallway out of bulbs...it makes me wonder whether the government cares ir not. According to my Granny in law, the last official visit from the DA's Mmusi Maimane was a petty and pointless one as all he brought where dry buns with dry boerie wors in order yo win their favour in the ladt election. Since then no attention has been paid to these elderly people. The lady's name is Ivy Mabaso residing at unit 81 West end of the complex. I wish that the centre can be restored to its former Glory where they where well looked after and checked in on by qualified nurses who ensure they are safe. Otherwise dont make our grandparents pay for Junk status retirement homes.
Currently there is a huge Tree Branch that was Struck by lightning, blocking the drive way....according to my gran i5s been like that gor weeks now.
Please can we get some help
