Dont join this gym!

Do not join this gym unless u love being ****med.

I joined in 2023 with the idea to gym for 1 year. The guy who helped me offered me a membership of R700+pm and i said i dont want to pay that much. He said he can make it R350 with a steep joining fee. I agreed. After 1 year and a few months passed the debit order was still being deducted every month so i got in contact with them to stop it and they said the contract is for 2 years. I went to check my contract and the guy who helped me does not work there anymore but he set up the contract for 2 years without telling me. You sign once on an electronic pad and the system adds your signature to every page of the contract and you only see what you are signing after everything is done and its sent via email. I did not check my contract because i assumed it was set up like we discussed verbally, my mistake. Upon asking them if the person who sets up a contract makes commission and now they dont want to talk about it. A few months later i pay the cancelation fee but the invoice they sent me said that im trying to commit *****. So i pay the full amount to cut ties with them BUT one more last debit order must deduct and a new fee of R75 to finalise cancellation. So today on 30 May 2024 the R350 payment deducted and the R75 almost tripled!!!

What made this even worse for me is that they asked me to referre them to any people i know, BUT they preferre overweight people who dont like going to the gym! Just like that!! This says it all ladies and gentleman! They want you to sign a contract so they can take your money!
