Revival Auto Glass_Windscreen Replacement_Insurance Nightmare

This is absolutely in hindsight and we won't be doing this again. No issue with the staff (everyone needs a job, right?!) but rather their process of swiping the business, of replacing your windscreen, before the insurance company allocates their providers to replace said windscreen. It has turned out to be a nightmare.

The sales team advises that you are not obligated to use the service provider as per the insurance company and since they have a "pay only 50% of your excess special", we should rather use them, they have stock and can change the windscreen within a day or two. They also state that all insurance companies accept their services. No issue. We just have to provide the claim number, they will do the rest. Which in theory, it works, the reality is very different.

We felt thrown under the bus and needed to step up and defend to our insurers, why we went outside the process (by using Revival Auto Glass) and got told things like "we will not entertain another claim like this....". On the other hand, if your insurance didn't want to pay, then you were directly liable for the replacement windscreen. This is why you continue to defend your actions to get the insurance company to pay. Of course the insurance company is not happy, they are now paying more for a windscreen then had we used their negotiated service providers. In the end, they were obligated to pay us out but we didn't enjoy being part of the ******ion thereof.

The insurance company also still takes their excess irrelevant of you giving the 50% excess to Revival. The insurance company told us that Revival is not recognized so don't bother being excited about only paying a 50% excess.

In the end, we felt manipulated, its not worth the admin headache, constant WhatsApp's and emails about a process that should have been a simple thing to get done. When we eventually complained about this, we never got a response which says a lot. Revival seems to be used to this kind of communication. Ignore the complaint, just pay and go away attitude. Do better Revival, as I stated in my email, if you want to join the pool of service providers for windscreens for insurance companies, do so. Don't let us fight your battles. You are trying to manipulate a system you cant beat. It's called Capitalism.
