Unneceptable ********** service worth thousands

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AWARD IN SA SHOULD GO TO REVIV Umhlanga.

Reviv is a wellness center that offers IV vitamin treatment is a simple procedure whereby you would receive vitamins and nutrients directly into your veins by means of a drip (needle) inserted in your hand or arm. The unacceptable bad service I received at Reviv, spoiled my afternoon on Tuesday (16 May 2017) at 15h30.

On my arrival I asked the lady st the help desk when the business had started operating because the facility was under construction while in operation. I was told by 2 people (the person at the front desk and the lady who was going to administer the IV )that the business had started operating in January 2017. The ladies explained renovations taking place at the establishment 'were only changing of stickers.'
It is ******** to make false or misleading representations about goods and services when supplying, offering to supply or promoting those goods or services.
Reviv did exactly that. I was given a form to fill in and had to wait for the consulting room to be cleared of the entire 'renovations' rabble to be cleared from the floor in the room where iv drips is put directly into the vein.

Here's what the treatment process was like: The administrator got right down to work, didn't introduce herself, she asked me to remove the jersey and grabbed my arm preparing me for the treatment. She tried answering my questions. Having the drip inserted was the most terrifying and uncomfortable experience for about 10-15 she struggled finding the vein. Not because I have brittle veins, deep veins, small veins, rolling veins or anything else to make it seem like the missed vein was my fault. She poked the vein pushed the needle in. I let out a scream because of the excruciating burning pain and she took the needle out and tried a different spot. I have had IV drips before but I never felt pain like that my whole life. It was a traumatic experience. I immediately had a massive bruise when the lady failed to do my IV properly. It looks like the bruises on my arm are not going away.
After that she pulled the IV stand closer which had an unmarked/ labelled IV bag which had been laying around in the consulting room, hanging on the stand, while the renovations were being done around it. I was alarmed. That she was going to use what was already laying there.
A aseptic technique must be maintained throughout all IV therapy procedures, including initiation of IV therapy, preparing and maintaining equipment. If an administration set or solution becomes contaminated with a non-sterile surface it should be replaced with a new one to prevent introducing bacteria or other contaminants into the system. However in my case this was not done. Putting me in jeopardy of getting infections and other potential complications. Hygiene and standards should be absolute absolute to avoid cross contamination which risks transmission of life threatening viruses such as HIV and hepatitis.
The facility offers several IV infusions, how do the administrators know which is which since the IV drips are unmarked? It's common knowledge that if the treatment is done outside a hospital, in an environment in which the content of the infusion is not properly controlled, users cannot be sure what is in the IV bags and maybe marking and labelling their products will give us the consumer that sense of assurance.
Immediately after the treatment I went to the receptionist desk to do my payment, I was told that the speed point is not working. When I enquired about the speed point not working, the lady said that their machine gets blocked for 10 minutes after 1 attempt and it was locked for security reasons. She later said the problem was with my card. I offered to try my other cards but I was told that the problem was with my cards, she didn't even try to charge me on the other cards. I really felt I was given a lame excuse.

Reviv Umhlanga should understand the importance of providing customers with superior service. Irrespective of their race, age or gender I can’t be forced to go withdraw cash of R2000.00 at an ATM in the afternoon, not with the high level of crime happening at our ATM's. A lady by the name "Jabu" was asked to escort me to withdraw cash. I was so angry I made the payment and I complained about my experience and how they had treated me.I emailed management and Sayed Mia responded 22/05/17 and promised to get back to me because they were closed. Today is 06/06/17 I'm still waiting.

Hope that the Management at Revivme Umhlanga or the franchise holders will ensure that the necessary corrective steps are put in place so that your outlet may meet expectations in the future. People couldn't avoid putting themselves at harm of IV blunder because of being misled by false advertising that the iv drips come labelled, when what you give clients is unlabelled. I seek to get advice on this but as far as I know "you either waste it or label it." How do you know and ensure that you are giving the customers what they are paying for? How do clients know that they are getting their money's worth? This can lead to getting and paying for incorrect products and getting ripped-off.
The pain and the bruising will not go down I thought that if they do go down I'd see the results of the treatment but instead the bad experience has given me pain and bruises.
I did take pictures, I continue to do so daily for documentation. The arm is bruised quite badly and it's not really going down as fast as a normal bruise would. I am unable to wear short sleeves to date. I was advised to draw a line around the bruise and keep an eye on it to make sure the bruise isn't still growing. The pain won’t go down.
Revivme Umhlanga should ensure that their customers leave with a great impression. The staff should provide the best customer service at all times. Customers feedback should be appreciated. The management should confirm the validity of each concern and offer a solution. Use of packaging which is similar to the one used on the website and promotions will avoid misleading and deceiving consumers. The company must void making any representation about goods or services unless there are reasonable grounds for believing that the representation is true.
