Possibly an unfair dismissal
My son signed a 2 year contract with this company, 8 months in they inform him that they have to terminate his contract. No communication or notification was sent out. No reason was given. He was just called in and was basically forced to sign the termination documents. As this was his first job, he felt that he had no choice but to sign it. The document in itself states that they would pay him out at the end of April or during this month. But they failed and only paid him mid May. Yesterday he found out that another colleague of his at this company was treated the same way and was advised as well not to come back. He was also "forced" to sign before he left. This is very ********* of this company as no notification or communication was sent out prior to their terminations. Doing the aforementioned means that they cannot dispute it and go to the CCMA for unfair dismissal (already confirmed). Now they are both struggling to get new jobs. I think people needs to be made aware of what their rights are and have their own opinion of this ****py company. Also, don't let the online reviews fool you.
