SABC TV License

Total Bad Experience!! Me and my ex-husband resided with my parents, so my Father paid for my tv license due to the fact that we used my tv. After my divorce, I moved out. I gave my tv to my Father as a gift. He kept on paying my tv license (***). In 2020 he corresponded via e-mail and spoke to the agent at the SABC on the telephone explaining that he was paying my account. Per e-mail he asked them to cancel my account, and they issued a new license number on my Fathers name (***). The SABC however did not cancel my license. Now they claim that I owe them R771.50 for an account that was supposed to be cancelled. I have proof of all the payments done on both accounts. They claim that they can cancel it now, but then I need to pay the amount outstanding.
