Revco - the worst debt collection agency I have ever dealt with
Revco are harassing me for an "outstanding" TV License payment. They only send threatening sms messages. When you try to call them, you are placed on hold for ages before being asked to leave a message - no one ever returns your call. After 6 weeks I eventually managed to speak to someone - I explained that I pay the SABC through their website and have experienced this incorrectly reconciled account previously (and that it has previously been easily reconciled). Despite send proof of the payments I have made, the messages have not stopped. For an outstanding amount of less that R300, I am now being asked for over R900. After numerous unanswered phonecalls while still receiving threatening sms messages, I managed to get through a second time to a consultant who rather than listening to me, put the phone to one side (I could clearly hear conversation in the background) and eventually hanging up on me. There is obviously no interest in actually trying to assist people who are trying to resolve their account issues. Revco are using threatening bullying tactics to enrich themselves disproportionately- not only in my case, but I am sure in the case of many people who have found themselves seriously financially affected by the Covid pandemic. If this is how the SABC tries to recoup late license fees, it is no wonder that they are losing customers to streaming services.
