Harassment by Revenue Consulting

They are contracted by SARS to collect a claimed outstanding payment for a company that I used to be a director of several years ago. I spoke to the accountant and he has a zero balance statement from SARS that is current too. I told their consultant on a Monday morning around 09h30 that I am no longer a director and gave then the accountants contact info. I also told him to consult the CIPC website and see who the directors are and to see I am not one of them. Then he said he would speak to his supervisor to remove me.

At 13h30 or so another person from them called me and insisted that I had to jump through hoops to prove what I had agreed with their consultant. I told them that it is not my job to do their work and as the accountant for the company had not changed in years and is on record with SARS they must speak to him.

Then the next morning another Revenue Consulting agent called and wanted to start all over again.

My wife has had a similar experience with them with respect to a TV License where they harass her and now recently me about arrears despite has being fully up to date and this they confirm on their own system and promise to remove my wife from their harass list but for 8 months nothing has changed. They simply tell us to ignore their SMS's and calls.

They could not be worse even if they tried.
