In September 2018, an advert of Wooden Furniture by Retha Venter was posted on Facebook. I responded as I was interested in the queen size bed to the prize of R2 300,00 but was told that R600,00 was for delivery. It was agreed that I could do downpayments of R300,00 p/m until the bed was paid in full. In January 2019,I have already paid R900,00. I contacted Retha asking if I made a payment of R1 000,00 if the bed would be delivered as we relocated. She agreed, in writing to it and that the balance can be paid upon delivery. By the end of March 2019 we still had no bed. An endless list of excuses started, from loadshedding, rain, staff not wanting to work on public holidays to the delivery vehicle breaking down. We then contacted Retha beginning of April, saying we no longer want the bed and would like a refund on our money paid to date of R1 900,00. And the list of excuses started again. She is relying on other people to help with deliveries, then the payments are not reflecting in her account, customers are suppose to pay cash and did not do so and so it goes on and on. But in all this time, Retha is posting on her Facebook page Retha's Creations how she made another delivery to a satisfied customer,thanking each customer for their support. Today, we have no bed and is still out of pocket by R1 900,00 paid to Retha Venter.
