Proof of inventory check not available
Rent-Rite was the managing agent of my flat which was rented out fully furnished to Mr Janse van Vuuren (tenant). The tenant stayed in my flat for 3 years and when he moved out a number of the items on the inventory list were missing. To continue...

03 Dec 2017, 11:06Rent-Rite is located in the Strand. I want to go to court to get this case sorted but unfortunately the only proof at this stage is Rent-Rite's word against Mr Janse van Vuuren's word. Both entities have submitted affidavits. Mr Janse van Vuuren states that the inventory list was not up to date when he moved in and Rent-Rite states that the inventory list was up to date. The missing items are over R10 000. I'm in the process of submitting the case to the Rental Housing Tribunal and see if they can assist in resolving it. I'll keep you up to date as the case unfold.
