worst cystomer service and no refund

<p>i am selling my car as i am moving out of the country and i needed to rent out a car for 17 days so that i can still take my son to school and his doctors appointments. i booked a car on 13th june (ref.) and paid about r4900 for the car using my credit card. a few minutes after receiving the confirmation email i receive an email saying my booking is cancelled and the cancellation fee is r3500. this means i would get refunded only r1300. i called rental cars (all of sudden all agents were busy) and demanded an explanation. both agents i spoke to mentioned that there is some internal check which gets done (after they have taken your money) and i failed that check -both could not say what that check was. i asked why this was not explained before my money was taken and could not get an explanation from either agent. they explained that the email i received had incorrect amounts on it (another unprofessional mistake on their part) and i would get a full refund but only after 7 days. now im stuck without a car, i cannot take my son to school or to the doctor and i cannot run critical errands because of this. and to make matters worse, when i tried to air my frustration at the lack of professionalism, the agent hung up on me. this is absolutely uncalled for and very poor customer service. as a customer i expect full transparency before any money is taken from my account. i will never use this service again from rental cars</p>
