Will I ever get my money back?

Rented a car in a hurry some time back via rentalcars.com when i needed to get back from DBN to JHB urgently (***). I read the web page quickly but failed to read the smallest print in the terms and conditions that I needed to pay a R13k deposit the next day upon collection of the car. Who has R13k lying around? Secondly I assure you that if i knew i needed that amount for a deposit i wouldn't have done the online booking.

Right so i didn't read the tiny terms and conditions... one could argue that something as material as a R13k deposit could be in bold, if we go the Treating Clients Fairly route but nevertheless im sort of ok to lose the R1000 for the car hire. Next time i will peruse your site with a magnifying comb.

What im not prepared to accept is that a refund of R1038 for insurance not used has not been paid back to me, its almost 40 days now. When following up they say BIDVEST has yet to confirm if the car was actually used or not. Surely they can pick up the phone and confirm?

When asking to see phone records or emails attempting to get this answer there is 100 excuses.

I just want my money back please. Plus i will never use Rentalcars.com or BIDVEST again. Shocking.
