Rentalcars com and Hertz *******

I purely gave this rating one star as to write this review....

On the 10th of January 2020, I had to make an urgent return to South Africa due to medical reasons from Cambodia via Bangkok. My arrival would be at OR Tambo international airport but I could not get an affordable way of travel to my final destination, Bloemfontein, so at the airport I went on to the Qatar airways Privileged club app and saw the car rental option much to my relief . I there and then quickly settled down and made my booking. Through the entire booking there was no option or clear indication as to terms and conditions or extra costs i.e. deposits etc. Upon my arrival in South Africa on the 11th January 2019 at 4:39am, I made my way to the Hertz counter as per indication from the booking. When I got there it all started. First they opened the booking with no queries or problems and took me showed my rental only to find it is not even remotely the model or class and secondly all if a sudden they a daily extra payment as well as a R13000 deposit. Needless to say, I couldn't afford R13000 and were transparent towards the desk agent whom then totally understood and made it clear that I don't have to worry and when the supervisor comes in for duty they will have the cancellation signed off and refunded within 48hours (business hours). Happily I accepted, little did I know for the nightmare that was about to start... After numerous emails and phone calls, I was redirected to Rentals.com. More than a week past till an extremely arrogant and disrespectful gentleman or rather man, named Amil made contact. Not only did he treat me with disrespect or arrogance but just a clear indication from the begin that they will not refund me. Needless to say Hertz is even worse, I only received ticket numbers generated after each mail. This is pure ******* and sickening. I need my money as I am unemployed and need mediation but they are preventing me to now look after my own needs with their ********** and ****ning behaviour.
