BEWARE

I booked a car for my wife and paid with my credit card. I gave her the card when she departed to produce at the rental desk at OR Tambo International Airport. Upon arrival she went straight to the rental company only to hear that she could not get the car as her name is not on the card that the rental was paid for and also provided for the R4000 deposit. We tried to call Rentalcars for three hours, but they never answered. I was advised by the rental agency to arrange a "sponsored rental" and to cancel with Rentalcars, which I did. Rentalcars refuse to reverse the transaction and claim that they have the right to keep my money for a car my wife never got.
