Rental Pros - Dishonest Estate Agents

These guys will go out of their way to make sure you do not get your rental deposit refund back, if you are about to sign a contract with these guys make sure that give you in details all their deductions when you move out of any unit you rent through them, especially those who want an apartment in centurion the complex called Village Valencia, they are very dishonest people.

I rented a unit in a new complex in centurion called Village Valencia end of 01 November 2017 and i took out a 6 months contract which was due to expire in 30 April 2018 but because of the size of the unit being too small i opted to move into a bigger unit(2 Bedroom) and not renew this 6 months contract, which would be on the new site they where developing because there was no 2 bedroom ground floor units available on the current completed site i was staying at.

When the contract was about to end i called them and also sent them an e-mail about my situation and they said it OK this can be done i can move into a bigger unit but because there was no available ground floor units, they then advised me to sign a four months contract in the meantime while we wait for the new site to be completed around August to September 2018, which i did and luckily the new site was completed earlier than anticipated and i moved into the new site 01 July 2018.

Here is what they explained to me thoroughly, they told me i would have to start the process of acquiring the new unit afresh and pay the full deposit on that new 2 bedroom unit, and they required for me to pay a deposit to secure the unit to avoid other agents from leasing out the available units i wanted.

Now today 17 July 2018 when i enquired about my deposit refund for the old unit i was told that i will not get the deposit back because i moved out before the contract ended but these are the same guys who advised me to cancel my 4 months contract before i move into the new unit, they even went ahead and made me pay a deposit to secure a unit when they knew very well they where robbing me of my deposit.

Please go through your contract thoroughly with these guys you will see they even making deductions off your deposit for things that have nothing to do with you, like they deduct money for cleaners off your deposit whether the unit is clean or not, they will tell you they have to clean i to their standards, but when you move in there is smudges on the walls and tiles.
