DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY

I am really trying to bite my tongue so that I do not say anything crude that may get my review booted out, however I am a scorned former tenant.

My troubles started when I moved into their ALPHA VALENCIA COMPLEX in centurion, moving all the way from Cape Town on the 12th of March, 2022.

I was desperate enough to not properly do a move-in inspection as I am immediately started my new job in two days, so naively I let the unprofessionalism of walking into a ****roach infested building that look lacklustre to my appetite. The apartment didn’t look prepared at all for me although my rent and deposit was paid a month and a half back. The agent who gave me the keys was so embarrassed that she physically had to take money from her pocket asked around for a cleaning lady to assist with preparing, those were the first red flags 🚩 that I should not ignored, anyhow I was desperate and needed a roof over my head.

On top of that, the co-ordination with their team and electricity & water people was soo terrible that I was without power for two days over information that was incorrect, my agent literally had to cc a lot of people to have anything done.

Fast forwarding from the constantly dysfunctional gates, loud music from neighbours and terrible office admin whenever you needed assistance, more than 70% of my rental deposit was never returned over 4 skid marks that were could be easily wiped during their “professional standard cleaning” which they had to deduct for, bare in mind I walked into the apartment, it was dirty, so what happened to my standard cleaning?? I’m sure they also deducted from the previous tenant before me but conveniently forgot to clean my apartment?

What’s really frustrating and irking is that they asked me for a time best suited for me to do a final inspection, and on the day I was vacating the unit, I reminded them two hours before and they said they can’t give me a specific time/day they can be at the apartment for them to do the inspection, they failed to object to the date I proposed, how convenient because I was flying out on the day and they did the inspection themselves.

It is either they are plain right ****** or they just amateurs.

As I am posting this review, I am currently in correspondence with the Gauteng Rental Housing Tribunal to take them to court.

It is appalling that so many people under their review here have experienced similar treatments, I really cannot forgive myself of not properly doing a background check on these people.

Please save yourself the trouble and look for business elsewhere. If you do decide to rent with them, consider your rental deposit flushed down the drain and a lot of your issues sweeped under the carpet.
