It may be contractual but it's not ethical.

I hired a car under contract number 45545. Due to circumstances outside my control I returned the vehicle earlier than intended. RAC penalized me with just about the full deposit for the early return. yet the agent said the same vehicle will go out tomorrow. So they don't have a loss on the vehicle, yet they take my deposit as well. How ethical is that ?
