I want my deposit back

I moved into a unit in Houghton Village in 2013, 1-April through Paul Earl, agent for Rentability, where I paid R6680 deposit (1,5 months) + R4450 months rental.My first lease was for a year.I then started renewing it by 9 months. My last lease started 1st May 2015 - 31st January 2016, however due to safety reasons I had to move out with immediate effect, mid October 2015, I put my notice on the 15th October 2015 for 31st October 2015, because I was feeling unsafe in the unit and I reported the broken scary wall which was next to my couch, where sometimes I slept, I was told that the would send someone to assess the wall, that was in august I waited for more that 2 months before I decided to move out for my safety. I moved out mid October 2015, now I cannot get my deposit back, Paul is not telling me when I am getting my money, I sent him more than 5 text msgs,called him, he responded yesterday telling me to contact the office, and I said I don't know his office, i had been dealing with him all along. He says he is away but I see him almost everyday in the complex and he runs away when he sees me. I need my deposit back ASAP.
