PUT OUT OF HOUSE NOW TAKING DEPOSIT

We rented a house from Rent A Den. The contract states that if the owner wants to come back to live in his house or sell the house he can give us 2 months notice. which then indeed happened. we found a another house and moved out a month later which leaves another month but the contract DOES NOT state that the 2 months period must be lived out or in the notice that we received simply by email that we have to stay until the last day of the notice period. <br> <br> we got a wonderful offer which we had to take otherwise we would not have had anywhere to stay - Rent a Den now is withholding our deposit saying we were suppose to stay for the whole notice period and move out when it suits them and the owner and not when we can find a house.<br> <br> I do understand that from the deposit money needs to be taken off for last electricity and water account and also asked them to subtract an amount for stuff to be removed as we had no facility to get ******* removed but now they even charging us for a month's rental when we were not staying there.<br> <br> this is not right and not fair and as I said the contract did not say we have to stay there for the whole notice period<br> Nelia Zinn<br> ***
