Renprop ******** people out of their deposits.

I wouldn’t even rate this company because they’re ********. I recently moved out of Nottinghill in Ferndale and I was waiting to receive my deposit back and I then got a maintenance breakdown from Renprop outlining that out of the R6200 that they had of mine, they decided to take R4708 for maintenance costs.

Their breakdown was Paint 16sqm lounge wall @ R1040.00 Paint 32sqm bedroom one wall @ R2080.00 Paint 3sqm bathroom wall @ R195.00 Labour @ R564.90 Repairs callout fee @ R342.99 Cleaning @ R485.00 Total: R4707.89

I sent them an email asking how the costs are so high and whether I could come paint it myself they said that because id handed over the keys, I wouldn’t be allowed back into the unit and they then sent me R1400 from the remainder of my deposit. I am disgusted. To think a company can inflate costs to such a degree and not feel any guilt or shame is scary. I’m truly disappointed.
