Innocent until proven guilty (Why should I pay)

<p>I moved into my new house in the month of March 2017.I hired a trailer (The biggest one by length and height) and got someone to assist me with the van. As the van was driving out with the trailer, somehow the gate closed when the back part of the trailer was still inside the yard, the gate hit and damaged the trailer and then reopened. My explanation to this was very single. Its either the sensor didnt work or someone closed the gate thiking the gate was not closing eg the security guard, the reason why I suspect this is that the security guard closed the gate when the van was driving in, the gate was opened and as the guy started driving in he closed the gate, which was very strange and it was very puzzling for thim to do this.After the incident happened the secury guard took my statement and we both agreed that the gate actually closed and damaged the trailer. He told me that Renprop would call to discuss the matter. They didnt call and a couple of weeks later I received an invoived stating that I must pay R750 cause I dameged the guide wheel, but my complaint is that I didnt damage anything as a matter of fact the gate damaged the trailer so i didt i have to pay?.I was infuriated by then telling me they are going to take the money from my levies. I didnt accpet that I damaged the gate so why is my money being taken by force. Their argument was how are they going to prove that what I claimed happened actually happened, and my argument was we can prove anything so they also cant take my money. To top it all our complex was broken into twice and we still have the same security company. I am really very disappointed by how Renprop handles situations and i am not a happy client</p>
