Thieving Renico Properties - Be wary to rent from them!

Rented a unit from these ******* in 2019, lived there for 3years and 5 months 2years and 5 months without a new lease agreement.

They over charged for electricity in the winter months and considering that both my late wife and I worked as essential staff, we where never home, to rack up huge electricity bills. (I paid)

Then my stove top packed up, one plate was no longer working and Renico send some random stove repair guy to my house. he replaced the stove top and billed me R1500 for a stove plate that surely should be covered by the property owners (I paid)

I finally gave them 30 days notice in May of 2022 and handed my keys in at the end of June 2022 as requested by them, to discover that they are with holding my rental deposit for damages to the property. the damages: * Rusted bathroom door frame * Mold on bathroom ceiling * cracked interior walls. (None of which are negligence from my end)

Now, I am trying to get my deposit back and I learn that I still have a negative balance of R650 for repairs to property. then fool dealing with my account nicely tells me not to bother responding to the email as he`s handed me over and I will be blacklisted. After I call him to air my view he hangs up the phone.
