Renico practices ******* EVICTION PROCESSES: Cuts access to electricity for tenants

Renico and its rental agents *******ly disconnect access to electricity. As a tenant in one of their buildings, I have recently fallen into arrears on rentals. I have contacted them and requested additional time to settle any arrears as I am self employed and encountered a few issues with clients.

Renico have, in this time, disconnected access to electricity in my unit on 2 occasions. They have not followed the correct procedures as set out in the Rental Housing Act, instead have resorted to unfair practices by disallowing me access to a basic service.

After requesting that access to electricity be allowed again, Lindokuhle, Lesego and Collin from Renico still refuse to do so. The law clearly states that if they would like me to vacate the premises, they should obtain a court order to do so.

If this is not rectified by tomorrow, I will be approaching the Rental Housing Tribunal in order to force them to reconnect electricity to my unit.
