Refusing to pay my deposit and dont respond
I was staying in Pennyille flats for almost 3 years and upon my cancellation of lease Renico, which just took over from Zelri, they are refusinf to pay back my R2600 deposit.<br> <br> They are saying the money will be used to paint the walls but for the 3 years i have been staying in that flat, it has never been renovated let alone painted. I am sending this complaint hoping they will respond to my emails because they are not even coming back to me with regards to the issues i have raised upon their response.

It is not that we are refusing to refund your deposit, as per your statement above. The unit was rented to you in a neat and clean state, and it was not left in the same condition.
You are well aware that we have been communicating via email, and you feel that it is still unfair to deduct some money for painting after we said we will not charge you for any other repairs to be done.
By meeting you half way I think we are fair and reasonable. Hope this gives clarity to your complaint.
