Renico Construction is buying all available land from municipalities apparently for "low cost housing". This is absolutely NOT true. They are conning the public and the various municipalities. Case and point is that they are currently building in the Bergbron / Whiteridge area where one bedroom units are being sold for about 600 thousand. Is this what is called "low cost housing"? I think not. Another issue I have with this company, is that they come in, build at record speed and damage the existing infrastructure. I live in proximity to their new build and I have spoken to people from the company, but I am just given the run around. The "short cut" that people in the surrounding areas use, is Libertas Road, which Renico has further damaged AND now they want to add approx 200-300 additional people to the mix without any accountability from their side. They have tarred a very small section of Schoongezicht road, not even the road in its entirety. Another bone I have to pick with them, is that they did a "traffic review" of Long Road and had an island built to try and slow down traffic. Long Road consists of two single lanes going in opposite directions. What is actually happening is that people driving down Long road just drive straight across it and in some cases use it as a "launch pad". Tyre prints all over the island is proof of this. I question the decision making of the people who apparently did this "traffic survey". They are probably one of Renico's "cronies: I question Renico's hipocracy as they advertise the "safe play area" within their new build, BUT there is NO SAFE PLACE FOR CHILDREN to cross Long Road to go to the schools in the vacinity. We have had quite a few deaths in Long Road, but Renico could care less. A completed build that they were responsible for is one that was done in Gordon Road. It probably looks nice on the inside, but the outside is left totally unkept. This is a WARNING to parents with children to take a good look at the existing road infrastructure before deciding to buy ons of their units in the Bergbron/ Whiteridge area. Also, I would like them to repair the damage done to Libertas Road. I would like to have a positive image of this company, but I do not. They seem to just ride rough shot over the needs of surrounding units to have safer and undamaged roads to travel on.
