Auto Body Repair Issue

I took my car in to Renew-It Bedfordview last year and had endless issues. I first had to wait some time whilst parts were ordered before the repair work started on my vehicle even after advising them that as the car was mobile they needed to arrange the parts and I would pay 50% of the excess up front to ensure that there was no delay but this instruction was not adhered to and as a result I incurred additional costs on Car Hire, Fuel and Etolls that could have been avoided. Further to this, I had to keep calling for updates on my vehicle, which again is not only time consuming and frustrating but ends up being costly too. When my car was eventually ready for collection early December 2019, they failed to put the bonnet protector back on the vehicle and upon questioning them they made me wait whilst this was resolved. Unfortunately, they lost the clips and as a quick fix they placed the bonnet protector on my vehicle with double sided tape much to my dismay especially since the bonnet had just been replaced and resprayed. The bonnet protector was also damaged in the process. I demanded a resolution and was advised that they could not replace the bonnet protector as this item has been discontinued and cannot be sourced locally. I did some research and the bonnet protector can be imported from Australia but Renew-It refuse to arrange for the replacement to be imported and have advised that either I must import the item myself and they will then see if it can be reimbursed or I should come in and they will remove the damaged bonnet protector and fix any potential damage to the vehicle as a result of the double sided tape utilized. Up till today this matter remains unresolved - shocking customer service.... I must take the risk of importing a unit that was in essence damaged by Renew-It in hope I will be reimbursed or take the time out of work to take my car to Renew-It for them to remove the bonnet protector and then that is basically case closed according to them. How is this a positive outcome for me as a client?. What happened to going the extra mile for a client especially when the inconvenience is caused by the company that conducted the repair work? Although the repair work itself was done well I would not recommend them. A complaint will also be lodged with my insurance company stating how unhappy I am with the service provided. It would be great if I could received a satisfactory outcome to my pending issue
