Poor service
Good day,
On the 9th November 2020 which was a monday I took my car in as it was due for service at Renault wanderwaters in pretoria north. When I dropped off the car, it was in perfect condition. I was called in to collect the vehicle as the service was completed of which I did though it was a little after office hours. When I started the car, I noticed that the engine light was flashing and I immediately notified the lady by the name of Lindiwe who was helping me. She advice that I bring the car back as their technicians had already left for the day. The morning of the 11th I drove back to Renault to have my car checked and again they later told me that I can collect the car and that everything was sorted. Fast forward to yesterday which was the 18th November as I was driving home from work, the engine light started flashing and this time it was nonstop, followed my the traction control light and obviously the spanner to show that the car had a problem was on too, with in seconds my car started vibrating as if it was misfiring and mind you at that time I'm driving in a busy road to a point where by i was battling to control the car as the car was also losing power. Though I almost caused an accident, I managed to get the car on the side and only then the car died completely. I have a service plan with liquid capital of which I called them immediately and related my story to them and they send through road side assistance. I then asked that my car be taken to another dealer as I wasn't comfortable with my car returning to Renault wanderwaters as they have failed to fix the problem before which already put my life at risk of an accident. The consultant at liquid capital said that its unfortunate that it will have to return to wanderwaters as they were the ones who were working on the car and if all else fails, then wanderwaters will notify them that they transfer the car to another dealer. I then called Renault wanderwaters again and the same lady, Lindiwe told me that it is unfortunate that they can't help me, mind you, it's a Wednesday, she said they can only assist me on Monday as their technicians are not working until then, how possible is that? Am I being taken for a fool even though the issue was caused by them? This morning the 19th November, my car was dropped at Renault wanderwaters, I called in to confirm and Lindiwe who was the 1 who received the car suddenly wasn't sure if it arrived as the tow company told me and she said she'd check and notify me of which I still didn't get any call. I am so furious and I don't even know how to get the manager's numbers to lodge a complain about my matter. Shouldn't my matter be urgent seeing that the car was serviced by them before and it almost caused an accident? How possible is that for technicians not to be at work during the week? I use the car to get to work and I have no alternative and I must still wait until Monday to be taken serious? What guarantee do I have also that they will fix the car as they messed up and not just clear the messages on the message panel? To what extend does one have to go to be taken serious about a matter that was caused by Renault wanderwaters? I really don't care how far I need to take this but surely I need to go the legal route.
I am very angry not only that they tempered with my car and are failing to rectify the problem but also because Lindiwe as well as the Renault wanderwaters team seem to be taking me for granted and it is enough.
