Renault clutch

Good morning.

I just had to replace the clutch on my Renault Duster. The car had just under 77 000 km on the clock. It never slipped, it only shuddered when warm, and there was a grinding feeling on the clutch pedal. Flywheel was so badly damaged that it had to be replaced. I do not ever let my car hang on a clutch at an uphill robot or stop, I do not drive with my foot on the clutch, so I am convinced it is a factory fault. Renault does not agree and although they covered the replacement of the flywheel under the warrantee, I had to pay for the clutch. I do not agree with this, as I am convinced this is a factory fault. Are there any other Duster drivers out there who experienced the same problem? Please mail me to **********
It took Seaman's Renault Port Elizabeth a week and a half to finalize the work, so I was without transport for 12 days as they had to order a flywheel. No curtesy vehicle available.

If you consider buying a Renault Duster, reconsider.
