RENAULT ROODEPOORT A BUNCH OF ******

This dealership is the pits and it can beat around the bush. They will give you all the stories they can think of just to get you to believe that they are trying their best to help you, which is not the case.

It just came to light that a service which was rendered to me (Replacing of my computer box) for my Renault Megane GT was never ever done.

In March 2021, they booked my vehicle for 3 months informing me that they will have to order a new computer box.

My computer box started giving problems, where it will not communicate properly with the car and just loses gears on the highway, causing so much inconvenience.

Bear in mind that before it got that serious, they made me buy a brand new Varta battery that cost me more than R3k. Thereafter the same problem. (car goes into dead mode). They told me the tracking system of the previous owner was not properly installed, and removed it.

They kept on doing diagnostics on the computer box and reset all faults. The car drives well for a few weeks then the problem is back again.

Now to the part where they booked my car for three (3) months, knowing very well that there are only 3 months left of the warranty.

Three months passed and I got a call to say my car is fixed and I can collect it from them. The car drives OK for a few months and boom same problem. (Now please tell me how is that possible after you replaced the computer box?)

I have now instructed my attorney that lodge a claim for damages to my car. I also instructed him to request the invoice/job card to see if the serial number is corresponding with the computer box in my car. (Watch this space: They gonna come up with the oldest trick in the book, saying they do not have that information as their computers have crashed.....LOL).

Please do not buy Renault anymore and never take your car to them for a service or maintenance. They just a bunch of ******.
