Taking too long to pay out

I got ****** of my bag which had my belongings including my laptop and cellphone on 13 March. I reported the matter to the insurance through 1st step brokers on 14 March because I've insured both my phone and laptop with them. I saw a response from Sastu when i went back to work on the 22nd giving me options of the replacement items the insurance was offering and I accepted the notebook offer but said the cellphone was too old so they must come up with an alternative.

on Wednesday the 22nd i got a call from an assessor who wanted to do an assessment over the phone and I obliged. Sastu then informed me on Friday that my insurance had put my claim on hold and would send an assessor to come and see me. The assessor contacted me and can only come on Wednesday the 29th March.

What I want to know is why do I bother to insure my belongings if it's going to be this hard for renasa to pay? If you wanted to bring assessors you could have done that on the week of the incident or even the next one. Now on top of the stress of being ****** and violated I have to be inconvenienced and be put on "hold" and yet my premiums are never on hold.

With the bad reviews your company is getting I suggest you reconsider the way you handle your claims and treat your clients because this incident has just left a very bad taste in my mouth as I feel that you're dragging this whole thing.

My policy number is MER213REN
