Claim unssettled

I had Power surge claim during the month of Feb and i was told to get a quote, I need to know if i was suppose to wait till when to get a Technician who will be help that i need to source myself as they could not even provide me with in the 1st place. I have managed to sort out the fridge and now they telling me im suppose to get a quote 1st. i have paid for everything already . you cannot sit in the house with a smelling fridge
