Do not pay in advance. If a company would want to employ you, they have to pay you, and not expect to pay them. Eg, promises of a company laptop, cellphone, tablet, etc, although you have to pay customs for your parcel release!!! Really???

Unfortunately I was applying for a remote job via RemoteHub,, only to get ****med out of R10 000. I suggest a much better secure and tested filter on recruitment agencies against ****mers.
