I’d advise you to not be lenient with renting an old apartment.

A mistake i made was renting an old apartment in Reitvalleirand because of the location convenience. The Pretoria East Remax agents and owner promised to repair the apartment in 3 months of my stay and nothing was fixed without a fight meanwhile i paid my rent in full and on time. Come end of contract I was charged for the “bad condition of the house” which was clearly seen by everyone during the first inspection and mid-inspection.

Don’t let Remax agent’s sell you dreams. We also know those deposits are chowed by their construction friends - poor quality work for business repeatability .
