Remax Impact Grassy Park
I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided by Remax impact Grassy Park regarding our recent experience with a property viewing and subsequent offer to purchase.
About a month ago, my husband and I "attempted" to view a property, but the agent was extremely unprofessional. He rushed us through the viewing and handed me the offer to purchase documents, instructing me to fill them out and email them to him. As experienced homebuyers, we understand the importance of having an agent sit down with us to go through the documents, especially since we were also in the process of selling our current property. We were not even given an hour to consider our options before the agent began contacting us repeatedly.
Additionally, the agent suggested that he did not need to be present during the signing of the offer to purchase, proposing instead to conduct the process via video call. This made me uncomfortable, as I needed his guidance in explaining the documents for legal purposes.
After lodging a complaint regarding this lack of professionalism, the principal of Remax Impact Grassy Park apologized and arranged for us to have another viewing of the property. However, the agent needed to be presence as the seller was not comfortable with him not being there. We were informed that viewings were available between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM, as there was an open house with a different agency (Rawson). On the day of the viewing, the agent from Remax impact Grassy Park arrived at 9:40 AM, where we once again had to call to find out where he is, The representative from Rawson was kind enough to show my husband around.
We then visited the Remax Grassy Park office on a Monday morning to put in our offer to purchase. We were told our offer would be presented and we should hear back within 48hrs. We haven't heard anything where I then followed up, I was informed that there was another offer on the property. My primary concern was the lack of communication from Remax. We were unable to explore other properties due to uncer*****y about our offer.
Two weeks has passed bringing us to yesterday morning,I received a call from Remax Grassy Park notifying me that the offer with Rawson had fallen through and asking if we would like to present our offer. While I was pleased to hear this, my immediate concern was that our information had been sitting in the Grassy Park office for two weeks, which should have been discarded after 72 hours if there was no progress on our offer.
After another almost 48 hours with no communication, I contacted the principal for an update. Unfortunately, he stated that he had no information and was not involved in the deal. I expressed my frustration about the lack of communication, especially considering the significance of purchasing a property. His response was to raise his voice, claiming he did not deserve the treatment I was giving him.
All I wanted was an update on our offer and clarity on the situation. A simple text message would have made this process so much more comfortable for my husband and I. The lack of communication throughout this process has been incredibly unprofessional and disheartening. I have requested to speak with a revenue contact regarding my concerns, but I am still awaiting a response.
I have made it clear to the principal that I would like to have the transaction canceled but he proceeds to have the agent contact me even though I made it clear from the start that I want no dealing with him at all.
