Remax Finest Bad rental agent

<p>I was renting a flat in the ST Geran Complex in Meyersdal, Alberton from Remax Finest in Brackenhurst. Now that i have moved out they are trying to charge me to replace and repair parts at an exorbitant price. one of the items on the quote they sent me was R540 to replace 3 hinges on a cupboard door. I phoned a local reputable supplier and they quoted me R19.15 per hinge. When i asked them to get other quotes they told me to accept it as they only use that specific handy man or to come do the work myself. The agent even had the audacity to demand that it be done within 2 days time. they have clearly violated my rights under the national consumer protection act. If you see a property to rent from Remax Finest i would advise you look elsewhere as they are holding my deposit as ransom. I wont even get into the problem i have with them over the Electricity bill and meter readings.</p>
