Protection of Personal Information

<p>Last week, I received an SMS from one "Helga" (I could provide the cell phone number, if necessary), asking me if I would be interested in selling my property in my complex. </p> <p>I am NOT interested in selling my property.</p> <p>What I would like to know is: where did she get my information from?</p> <p>When I purchased my property, it was through a private seller. Therefore, there is no way that any estate agent should know that I am an owner in my complex, nor should they know my private cell phone number.</p> <p>I would really like to know where she got my information from, because somewhere, someone did not care for the Protection of Personal Information Act.</p> <p>I am really disappointed in RE/MAX for these methods they use and I do not ever want to be contacted by one of your agents again for something like this. If this happens again, I will take the matter further.</p>
