No repayment of deposit after 14 day period
I have moved out of the previous property I have rented. I have always been paying my rent on time for the time we rented there (about 1.5 years) and their were no issues from my end. However, after 19 days (moved out on the morning of ), I still have not received back my deposit even though the Rental Housing Act section 5.3(g) clearly states that this needs to be done within NO LATER THAN 14 days. This not only means bad service, but also that Remax is in direct violation of the law of South Africa as noted above.
Please note that this is not directed at Remax as a whole as I did have had a good experience with them in the past. I am rating them in terms of this specific incident.
