Never trust a salesman

I viewed a property through Ian McIntosh some time in June 2020. I had not made an offer immediately and was still looking at options. I received a call from Ian at the beginning of July when I planned to revisit the unit stating that there was a couple going to make an offer but since I had already seen the unit I would get 1st preference to make an offer. So I went to see the unit again and sign an offer letter. Upon signing I asked Ian to add "upon final inspection" as a special condition to which his response was that I would just be wasting my money as the "conveyancers will have to conduct the necessary inspections in order for the sale to go through". So I agreed and we did not add that into the OTP. The offer was accepted shortly after.

Since then I have dealt with numerous issues that were not checked and dealt with prior to me taking ownership: - no gas certificate provided - damp wall issue that I was advised multiple times that it was resolved but now I am dealing with mounded shoes after 1 month of residing in the unit - floorboards that have extensive borer damage. I was aware that there was a problem with borer and told the floors were treated. However the boards are already badly damaged and cracking in many areas.

I still have not had any response from the branch manager regarding this poor treatment by the sales agent and lack of disclosure of many issues which I had to repair under my own costs.
