Make the sale by all means possible, will ya?

I sold my house through Remax Bluff. From the beginning, the buyer was calling shots and the agent Velani reluctant to reprimand her.

When OTPs were signed, the buyer requested to move in earlier. The occupational interest was much lower and no clear indication as to how it was calculated. I researched and had to dispute. On the day the Velani collected keys, I had flown from East London to clean and clear the house. The truck was on the way to collect the remaining furniture and crockery. There was an urgency and keys were collected earlier than agreed. When the truck came Velani had handed the keys to the buyer who was now unreachable. The promise was that my furniture would be kept safe until transfer.

During this period, my cell number was given to the buyer eho complained about anything under the sun, including leaking taps and her bill going high. I agreed to subsidize the bill when it came.

On the day of the transfer i reached out to the owner (the buyer) and requested, my nightmare escalated. She flat out refused citing she had made renovations (prior to transfer) to the property and if i had to use the garage she has made i would have to pay. She cited that rubble from renovations was for my account.

I sent a driver to estimate how much it would cost to remove my rubble and furniture and to my shock some of my furniture had been thrown out. The driver returned home to get a bigger truck and upon return the owner refused them entry.

In the midst of all this i sent metro bills to the agent, who promised recovery of my furniture but was unsure if bills will be paid as the buyer had paid occupational interest. I am sitting with over R3700 bills for one month and awaiting charges for the second month. The new owner stated she is owing nothing not even acknowledging the pro rata rent. There is no solution from the agent/agency. The sale was made, and I am left to pay the prize, financially and emotionally!
