Jack of all trades, REMAX Masters of none

<p>We bought a house from Remax "Masters" Weltevredenpark. No appointment was made for inspection to be done before registration took place. Upon moving in, the AUTOMATED garage door (As per the offer to purchase) was not automated and had to be opened manually and could not lock. The estate agent called a contractor to quote on the door, and we as the new owners gave the agents as well as the previous owner, ample time to obtain multiple quotes. We had NO RESPONSE from either for 5 days. As we had to go to work the following morning, we then had the first contractor (who the agent sent) repair the broken door (Which should have been working before we even moved in). The previous owner now does not want to pay the contractor and Remax is just shrugging their shoulders and saying they want nothing to do with it and that it is not their problem - even though this is clearly a breach of contract and they did not adhere to their responsibilities. The owner of the franchise has been contacted as well as the Remax "Help Line" - Which was nothing but a waste of time. They received their money so it seems like thats where their responsibility and professionalism ended.</p> <p>Never again will I ever use Remax and after hearing all the similar complaints from colleagues, I am not the only one. </p>
