Deposit not paid back

Moved into a house September 2022, rented from Remax Infoglobe Constantia Park in Pretoria and moved out December 2023.

The move out inspection was done 14 December as they closed 15 December. The agent said she will submit the paperwork to finance the next day to pay out the deposit. By 9 January 2024 i still haven’t received the deposit back or heard anything from the agent, I emailed with no response .

Through out January i send 5 follow up emails, all with no response.

1 February i send and email stating i will have to take this further as I haven’t recent the deposit or any communication from the agent. Later that day i get a response back saying the agent will immediately send the paperwork through and give instruction to finance department to pay the deposit back to me.

I will not recommend renting from them! A month and a half waiting for the deposit just to find out that the agent never send the paperwork through to the finance department. It is absolutely ridiculous!
