Company doesnt want to take responsibility

We sold our house through remax, the agent that did the contract was Dennis, we told him that we buying a other house and that both house must run together with the deeds and lodgement, Dennis has recently been fired from the company, haven't been told why but now the attorney handling everything has told us that the house has been lodged and we must move by the weekend, and the house that we bought hasn't been lodge yet, the attorney told us that nowhere in the contract is stated that both house must be transferred together even after we told there agent, they expect us to pay occupational rent, and that no one wants to take responsibility for Dennis mistake
