Bye-bye Rental deposit! QA department not even responding to complaints - its just a standard reply.

The worst experience ever. Stay away from renting a property from their Agents - especially in the Western Cape. You can say goodbye to your deposit, you won't get answers even if you contact the owners as well. According to Law they are not allowed to deduct money form MY deposit - without proof of the "cost of damages" - but that won't stop them. I had to beg to get a signed copy of my contract, Receipt for my deposit and Receipts for the money they deducted from my deposit - all requirements by LAW!

And their QA department? - that's just a standard reply they add to all complaints. They didn't even bother to respond to my complaint. Integrity? The agent signed the contract both as witness and agent - is this standard practice? And then it seems the contract dates were changed as well. But no response from anyone. When I queried my deposit, I was told to sort it out with the owner (but I was dealing with the Agent?) and later on I was told to sort it out with the Rental Housing Tribunal. I listed all my complaints, emailed it to the agent, owners, the so called "QA Department" but still no joy! So, if you want to give money away - please contact this agency in the Western Cape (they will also act in contradiction to the Consumer Protection Act) and just ignore any complaints you might have.
