Avoid RE/MAX and save yourself money and disappointment

Save yourself the trouble and loads of money and avoid RE/MAX! We bought our first property in Bloemfontein. The RE/MAX First Bloemfontein listing promised a turnkey experience. It turns out that the opposite is true. Black mould in the suposed newly remodeled kitchen, water pipe leak causing structural damage and above all the other items that are too many to list including issues with the COC...the rates and taxes AND the levies were falsely reported. Instead of their R950 levy amount, we have to pay R1515. Similarly R900 rates and taxes became R1445. This is close to a R9000 per year difference! We would've rather paid that into our bond. Instead, our homeowners journey started with a disadvantage. Both the real estate agent and her principal feel that we are complaining about trivial issues and that they are not at fault here. I am very disappointed in this business and their brand experience. Really not what they promise on their website. We are still not settled in after a month with repairs and dust and added expenses. What a nightmare! Treat your customers with more respect please. This is unacceptable!
