Invoices do not match quotes. Failure to comply with ECT and CPA legislation. Ongoing Harassment.
Regus provided a quote on their website for a service. They then charged my credit card for same amount but sent me invoices for greater amounts via email. They failed to provide an invoice for the charged amount after numerous requests. I immediately told Regus via phone and 2 emails that I wish to not do business with a company with suspicious financials. The particular legislation in the ECT and Consumer Protection Act was directed to the director of RMG Management Group SA (Pty) Ltd, Reg No. *** but no response was received. They continue to send me invoices and threaten me with legal action.

01 Dec 2021, 19:01Hi Dewaldt,
I am sorry to read your comments and apologise for any misunderstandings.
I have checked your account: You signed for a month-to-month virtual office agreement and the invoices raised correspond to the price you accepted online (+15% VAT, as stated on the agreement).
You can check the purchase order confirmation through your online account, in the Documents area. This confirmation is your agreement and has all the details of the rate, term, location etc.
I can feel that you’re disappointed and would really like to help, but I am I am unsure where the concerns are. Would you like to tell me more at ***?
Thank you,
Sandra Melody

01 Dec 2021, 20:56No Sandra the quote included 15% VAT and you also charged my credit card with the exact quoted amount. What raised red flags is that you subsequently sent me invoices for amounts not quoted immediately after the credit card transaction and claimed in the email that I had not paid a cent. I phoned within the hour after realising the discrepancy and the call centre person told me that I had not paid, and that I now owed an amount not agreed to. I immediately requested to cancel any potential agreement (of which there was none) and that I wished to avoid doing business with your company. I was told that it was not possible. Realising then that your company was acting outside of the law I instructed my bank to reverse the transaction and cancel the credit card in question. Even if a contract was in place, which I deny on the basis of a mismatched quote and charged amount compared to the invoiced amounts which I would have never agreed to. R1,584.30 was the amount which was already inclusive of VAT on the quote and you also charged my credit card with this amount (which was blocked by the bank). I urge you to read the letter of demand that was sent detailing REGUS' disregard for the ECT act and Consumer Protection Act on 2021-11-08 which never received a reply. Even if I had made a mistake (which I have not) I am legally entitled to cancel an agreement before services are rendered as per the consumer protection act. Let this reply also serve as notice to the public that I requested all business dealings with Regus to be canceled within 45 minutes of ordering a service which was misrepresented on the 4th of November and that REGUS refused to accept the cancellation and insisted an amount was owed that was never quoted for on the date 2021/12/01. I shall also state for the record that REGUS continues to send me overdue invoices and threats of legal action. I also declare publicly that I shall not pay any of the fabricated invoices and consider it harassment. I declare that no lawful agreement has ever been entered into between myself and REGUS as the agreement was misrepresented and that I did not wish to receive any services from REGUS on the 4th of November or any date in the future. If you do wish to communicate with me, please only send me a summons with a court date. I have collected a considerable amount of evidence and I am looking forward to present it in court.
